Completion of 74 Shared Ownership homes at Woodgrange Road, Forest Gate

74 shared ownership homes have been successfully completed at Woodgrange Road, Forest Gate, within the London Borough of Newham. In partnership with Clarion Housing Group, Higgins Partnerships has transformed a vacant brownfield site into much needed affordable homes for the community.

Steve Leakey, Managing Director of Higgins Partnerships comments, “We are extremely proud of what has been achieved at Woodgrange Road. Not only have we provided new affordable homes for first time buyers, but our social value commitments have also created a number of training and apprenticeship opportunities for local residents.”

The development features two cores, positioned on the north and south sides, and varies in height between five and seven stories. To complement the Forest Gate Town Centre Conservation Area, bricks have been used on the lower levels to reflect the surrounding Victorian architecture, while the upper levels are finished with pre-patinated copper cladding to emphasise the contrast between the base and its upper sections.

The one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments offer a high specification, including many with balconies or winter gardens. The development provides easy access to central London via the Elizabeth Line and is surrounded by a wide variety of parks and open spaces.
